At wee care day care, our Older Toddler Group is designed for children who are becoming more independent, social, and curious about the world around them. This group is full of energy and imagination, and we provide the perfect mix of guidance, freedom, and fun to help them continue growing through hands-on, play-based learning.
Social Skills & Group Play: Children in this group are learning how to navigate friendships, express themselves clearly, and work cooperatively. We support them through group games, shared activities, and guided problem-solving.
Language & Communication: We build vocabulary and early communication through stories, music, conversation, and pretend play. Children are encouraged to use their words, ask questions, and share ideas with peers.
Motor Skill Development: Our daily activities support both fine motor skills (like cutting, drawing, and building) and gross motor skills (running, jumping, climbing) with plenty of indoor and outdoor movement.
Creative Exploration:
Children are given time every day to create through painting, crafting, sensory play, dramatic play, and music. This encourages imagination and self-expression.
Routines & Responsibility: We help older toddlers feel confident by giving them small, manageable responsibilities like cleaning up, helping set the table, or putting on their own coats. Daily routines help them understand time, structure, and transitions.
